Alcest is a french post-rock, shoegaze band formed in 1999. They started out as raw bm, actually the former lider, Neige (Stéphane Paut <3) played with Peste Noire (he teached the guy to play drums and everything but they still kicked him out oops fucking twats). The bands name, Alcest, doesn't really have a meaning; it's just phonetically beautiful. Alcest is based in Neige's dreams of an ethereal world and, let me say, he NAILED IT. Neige has participated in a lot of things, contributed way too much to create beautiful music. His other recognised projects, or projects he has been part on, are Lantlos, Old Silver Key, Les Discrets, Phest, Dor Daedeloth, Glaciation, Mortifera, Forgotten Woods, Pleasure of Mordor, Zero, Peste Noire and Amesoeurs.
